January 27, 2022, Virginia State Parks launched a new online reservation site for their campgrounds, cabins, yurts and picnic shelters. They added some nice features such as an availability notification system and a new loyalty program.
We’ve updated the links on our site to reflect this change in their system.
Once you navigate to a specific loop within the park, it allows visitors to scroll through dates to find the next availability for specific sites within that loop.
Unfortunately, any previous reservations made through the old reservation system (ReserveAmerica) do not appear in your account in the updated system.
New features on their reservation site include:
- A new dollar-based loyalty program instead of the previous point-based system
- Notification that will alert when previously booked sites become available
- Faster transaction processing times online and in person
