First Landing Yurts

First Landing Camping Yurts

First Landing State Park Campground has 4 yurts available.  They can be reserved between the first Friday in March and the first Sunday in December.  Check-in is 4 p.m. and checkout is 10 a.m. The yurts look like large elevated circular tents or teepees. Yurts are the only campsites that have an ocean view and First Landing Yurts

There are 20 rustic cabins available at First Landing State Park.  The cabins are located on the trail side, across the street from the campground. Within First Landing State Park, a few of the amenities available are: Beach Area The beach area of First Landing State Park faces towards the Chesapeake Bay.  The two miles of beach in front of the campground is a much quieter beach experience than the Virginia Beach oceanfront.  Please be aware there are no lifeguards. First Landing State Park Campground has 22 group tent campsites available.  The campsites are located next to one another on the Gosnold loop and definitely have a “community” feel to them.  They are intentionally closer together than other tent sites.  Campers can see and interact with one another from their own sites, while still maintaining a Group Camping

The Playground

The playground at First Landing State Park campground is located 600 yards to the right of the campground entrance. It has a pirate ship theme, with slides and ramps.  It has a few benches but there are no picnic tables. The nearest bathhouse is located in the group camping area about 550 feet away.
