Site 140

This is a 20′ site that sits along the middle of Wingfield loop.  It is nice sized and has an even, level campsite area.  It is a very private, secluded spot.  Due to the low clearance of tree branches (10′), you should bring pruning loppers to trim back any small branches if you will be camping in something larger than a pop-up camper.  It sits across from Fort Story military base and military fencing can be seen from this location.  It does have a tendency to hold standing water after exceptionally heavy rains.

The camp site for Site 140 is approximately 45 feet in length x 15 feet wide, not including surrounding common area. It can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents and has both water and electric hookups available. A maximum of 6 guests can camp here. Pets must be kept on leashes no longer than 6 feet in length. Like other sites, the campfire area includes a picnic table, as well as a fire ring with grate. You can find some tips on what you might want to bring on your camping trip here
